2012 Nominee Highlights
Each year we receive over 50 nominations. Many could be award recipients. This year we are honoring two outstanding nominees each month.
President/CEO/Partner, Large Company Category
Atlanta Office Managing Partner
Ernst & Young
Susan Bell, one of our outstanding nominees in the President-CEO-Partner, Large Company category, was nominated by Larry Decuir of Ernst and Young who says, “At Susan Bell's very core is the need, desire and ultimate obsession to operate from a place of absolute integrity.” Integrity is part of who Susan is. Susan is the rising board chair for the United Way of Greater Atlanta. The leadership team of United Way vouched for Susan’s integrity in the nomination, saying that she practices what she preaches. When asked about integrity in a SmartBusiness magazine article, Susan said, “Integrity is doing the right thing every time, regardless of the situation.” No doubt an outstanding leader in our community, Susan strives to exhibit integrity in every aspect of her life.
The Home Depot
Ann-Marie Campbell was a phenomenal nominee in the President-CEO-Partner, Large Company category. Ann-Marie’s nominator, Beryle Stipe, wrote that Ann-Marie lives by example, inspires achievement, and drives excellence. Ann has been with the Home Depot for more than 20 years. She worked first as a cashier, progressing through various positions to where she is now – President of the Southern Division. Also a speaker at one of Turknett’s Women in Leadership seminars, Ann inspired the audience as she described her struggle as a young immigrant working her way up the corporate ladder in a male-dominated company. Ann-Marie has received numerous honors, and was recently named to the Executive Leadership Honor Roll of the former Board of Directors Network (now ONBOARD).
